Quality, authenticity, and high performance
Some of our new houses are large and some are small; some are modern and some are traditional. All are high performance houses meeting at a minimum the DOE Zero Energy Ready level of efficiency. Health, comfort, resiliency and efficiency are locked into their DNA. Why would our clients want to build in any other way when the incremental increased first cost (5-7%) to achieve this kind of sustainability is so minimal? In fact, because we use an integrated systems approach to the design, the cost of ownership of these homes (mortgage + monthly energy bill), is effectively the same as that of a standard code-built home.
